How do I upload files to my website?

There are several ways to upload files to your website, here are some of the more common ones:

CPanel File Manager
You can upload files to your website by using File Manager in CPanel. Using File Manager you can create/modify/delete files and folders and change file permissions.


FTP Client software
Using an FTP client program such as CoffeCup Direct FTP.

Use your CPanel username and password as your FTP login or if you wish, you can create a new FTP account in CPanel/FTP Manager.

HTML Editor

To create your web pages, you can use a Visual HTML editor such as CoffeeCup HTML Editor or CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer

All files that you would like to appear on your website should be uploaded to the public_html folder. The file for your homepage should be named index.htm or index.html.
